The shopping trip to the USA is just around the bend.  We will be picking passengers up in Port Elgin, Sackville and Moncton.  For the revised schedule check the itinerary below.  We still have some spaces left for those who might like to join us.

We will be shopping at the Maine Mall, Burlington Coat Factory, Settlers’ Green Outlet Village in North Conway that offers TAX FREE SHOPPING at over 60 factory outlet stores.  We will also be shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop, Target and Hannaford.  Duty Free Shopping!

 

Upon booking your trip a $50 nonrefundable deposit is required.  All bookings must be made by June 30.  Pedvac must receive full payment by September 30.  Cancellations are non-refundable unless your seat can be refilled due to contractual obligations with hotels and buses.  Trip cancellation insurance is very important.

 

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Friday, October 26, 2012

6:00 A.M. – Depart from Pedvac at 12 Church Street, Port Elgin. Vehicles can be left at back of parking lot.  Pedvac and St. Clements Church are not responsible for vehicles.

6:30 A.M. – Depart from the Sackville Home Hardware parking lot .  Our last stop before the border will be in Saint John to change bus drivers.  

9:45 A.M. – St. Stephen Tax and Duty Free Shop PLEASE DO NOT SPRAY PERFUMES DUE TO ALLERGIES.

10:15 A.M. – Customs – Please have your passports ready. The customs officer will be coming onto the bus for a random check.  **PEDVAC FOUNDATION INC. IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYONE WHO IS DENIED ENTRY INTO THE UNITED STATES

11:15 P.M. – We will depart for Bangor. You can set your watches back one hour as we are now on Eastern time.

1:15 P.M. – Dysart’s Truck Stop for Lunch – 207-942-4878.

2:30 P.M. – The Bus will depart for South Portland.

4:30 P.M. – We will be arriving at our hotel, The Howard Johnson, 675 Maine St., South Portland Maine, 04106 – 207-775-5343.  PLEASE REMAIN ON THE BUS UNTIL THE HOSTESS RETURNS WITH THE KEYS AND CALLS YOUR NAME.

5:00 P.M. – The Bus will depart for the Burlington Coat Factory.

6:30 P.M. The Bus will depart for the Maine Mall – 517 Maine Mall Road – Supper and Shopping.

9:00 P.M. The Bus will return to the Hotel.

Day 2 – Saturday, October 27, 2012

6:30 A.M. – Wake-up call at hotel.

8:30 A.M. – The bus will depart for shopping in North Conway at Settlers’ Green Outlet Village – TAX FREE SHOPPING at over 60 factory outlet stores.

10:00 A.M. – Arrive at Settlers’ Green. The bus will be open from 1:00 to 1:30 to put your parcels on.

5:00 P.M. – The bus will depart for South Portland.

6:30 P.M. – The bus will take us to our hotel to drop off our parcels.

7:45 P.M. – Departing hotel and going to Target – 200 Runninghill Road.

8:45 P.M – The Bus will return to the Hotel.

Day 3 – Sunday, October 28, 2012

6:15 A.M. – Wake-up call.

7:45 A.M. – The Bus will depart hotel for Bangor- Please make sure you have your entire luggage. Please leave the hotel keys in the Room.

10:15 A.M. – Christmas Tree Shop.

11:30 A.M. – Lunch at the Happy China Buffet – 207-990-6688.

1:00 P.M. – Bus will depart for Calais.

3:00 P.M. – Shopping at Hannafords. This is a large supermarket should you wish to purchase a turkey or other food items.

4:00 P.M. – The Bus will depart for Duty Free Shop.

4:15 P.M. – Arrive at Duty Free Shop, 40 Main St., Calais, Maine (1-207-454-3476) We will complete our customs forms. Do not fill out the bottom if you are planning on shopping at the Duty Free. Please keep your receipts! PLEASE DO NOT SPRAY PERFUMES DUE TO ALLERGIES.

5:00 P.M. – Customs

6:30 P.M. – St. Stephens- We will take a short break at Tim Horton’s if you want to pick up a coffee and a sandwich.   You may now set your watch ahead an hour as you are in Atlantic time

Arrive:  9:45 P.M. Sackville     10:30 P.M. – Port Elgin

Pedvac Foundation Ltd., cannot accept responsibility for itinerary changes, changes in accommodations, transportation, attractions, Pedvac Foundation reserves the right to substitute. Pedvac Foundation Ltd. is not responsible for stolen or damaged vehicles left in parking lots while away.

 

· Travel insurance is not included in your tour package.

 

· Please have your US Travel Insurance and Proper Medical coverage.

 

· Passports are a requirement.

 

· Children traveling without both parents, need a consent form.

 

· If you take medications, it must be in the original bottles.

 

· Please have your name, address and phone number on all luggage.  One carry-on per person and one large suitcase only.

 

· Please do not wear strong scents due to allergies.

 

· No smoking or drinking on the Motor Coach.

 

· $800 (Canadian) Spending Limit includes your duty free – 1.5L of wine or 1.14L of liquor or 24X355 ML cans or bottles of beer or ale. 200 cigarettes, 200 tobacco sticks, 50 cigars or cigarillos and 200 grams of manufactured tobacco. Please keep all Receipts for Customs.

Please keep all receipts in one place for Customs on return to Canada. We recommend that you take photocopies of credit cards and important documents with 1-800#’s. It is also recommended that you contact your credit card company to advise them that you will be traveling throughout the United States.
